We change others’ lives to the best version of themselves

At ABA4Change, we believe that every child has the potential to become the best version of themselves with the right support and guidance. This belief came to life in our journey with Omar, a vibrant eight-year-old diagnosed with ADHD, who also exhibited behavior challenges that often made it difficult for him to focus, socialize, and feel successful in school.

When Omar first joined our program, his days were filled with moments of frustration. He struggled to stay focused on tasks, found it hard to manage his impulses, and was often misunderstood by his peers and teachers. His parents, though supportive, felt overwhelmed and unsure of how to help him succeed in the classroom and social settings. Together, we worked on creating a tailored Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) plan, designed specifically to meet Omar’s needs and goals.

In partnership with Omar’s parents and teachers, we began by setting small, achievable goals, focusing on increasing his attention span, enhancing his social skills, and developing self-regulation strategies. Through consistent positive reinforcement, structured routines, and engaging activities that captured Omar’s interests, he started showing remarkable progress. He became more comfortable expressing himself and learned to manage his reactions more calmly, making it easier for him to connect with his peers and enjoy learning.

However, we knew that true transformation involves the entire family. Our team extended support to Omar’s parents, offering psychosocial resources and counseling sessions to help them understand ADHD and navigate the journey with confidence and resilience. By equipping them with effective parenting strategies and emotional support, they felt more empowered and connected to their son’s growth.

Today, Omar is thriving in ways his family only dreamed of. He’s more focused, self-assured, and enjoys interacting with his friends. His parents, now feeling supported and well-prepared, celebrate his milestones and know they have a community by their side.

This journey with Omar and his family is a testament to our mission at ABA4Change. With compassion, evidence-based practices, and comprehensive family support, we’re here to unlock every child’s potential and transform lives, one step at a time.

A Spark of Hope: Nour’s Journey from Refugee to Inspiration

Here’s an inspiring story about a refugee girl from the Za’atari camp who found hope and purpose through volunteering work and expressed her gratitude through art:

When I first met Nour, she was a quiet, thoughtful 14-year-old girl living in the Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan. Like many young people in the camp, Nour carried the weight of her experiences—displacement, loss, and the daily challenges of life as a refugee. Yet behind her reserved demeanor, I saw a spark of potential, a quiet determination waiting for the right moment to shine.

One day, during a community event, I encouraged Nour to help set up the space. At first, she hesitated, uncertain if she could make a difference. But as she saw how her contributions helped bring the community together, her confidence began to grow. She became more involved, offering to volunteer with small tasks whenever she could. Over time, Nour started to realize that she had the power to bring positive change, even in the smallest of ways.

As Nour spent more time volunteering, she began to find a sense of purpose. She developed strong relationships with other volunteers and campers, and her energy and optimism began to inspire those around her. I could see how she was transforming—she was no longer just a young girl in the camp but a source of strength and hope for others.

Then, one day, Nour approached me with a small drawing she had created. It was a simple yet beautiful piece depicting a group of people holding hands, with each person supporting the next, like a chain of strength and unity. She said, “This is what you taught me—that together, we can lift each other up, even when things are hard.”

Her drawing touched my heart deeply. It was more than art—it was a testament to her growth, her resilience, and her newfound belief in the power of community. Nour reminded me of the profound impact we can have on each other and how the smallest acts of kindness can spark hope.

Today, Nour continues to volunteer, mentoring younger children in the camp and encouraging them to believe in their own strength. She has become a beacon of hope for others, proving that even in the most challenging circumstances, a single spark of inspiration can ignite the potential for incredible change

Transforming Lives and Unlocking Potential Every Step of the Way

Meet Ahmed

Ahmed is a bright, spirited nine-year-old growing up in a refugee camp. Like many children in crisis settings, he struggled with focus, emotional regulation, and often felt left out among his peers. His family and teachers wanted to help, but they didn’t yet have the tools to support his unique needs.

When I first met Ahmed, I immediately saw the spark in him — the curiosity, the kindness, the untapped potential. Yet, he often retreated into himself, feeling misunderstood and overwhelmed.

Working side-by-side with his family and teachers, we created a personalized support plan grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Together, we set clear, meaningful goals: improving his attention, building his social confidence, and helping him express his emotions in healthy, empowering ways.

What followed was nothing short of remarkable.

Month by month, Ahmed blossomed. With consistent guidance, targeted activities, and a warm, supportive environment, he began joining group activities, smiling more, taking initiative, and proudly celebrating his small wins. His teachers noticed a new level of focus — and even moments of leadership that once felt impossible.

Today, Ahmed is thriving. His resilience, creativity, and growing confidence inspire everyone around him.
His journey is a powerful reminder that every child can rise, no matter the circumstances, when they are given the right support, understanding, and opportunities.

Ahmed’s transformation reflects our mission: to help children overcome challenges, rediscover their strengths, and step into the future they deserve — one child, one family, one story of hope at a time

Building Inclusive Futures: Empowering Educators to Transform Learning Environments

———–

At ABA4Change, we believe that meaningful inclusion starts with empowered educators. When we partnered with a school serving a wonderfully diverse group of learners, one thing was clear: the teachers deeply cared, but they lacked the tools to fully support students with disabilities, learning differences, and behavioral challenges.

We began by designing a comprehensive, hands-on training program for teachers, counselors, and administrators. Our focus was simple yet transformative:
Equip every educator with practical, evidence-based strategies to build an inclusive classroom where all students can thrive.

Through interactive workshops and collaborative sessions, we explored essential pillars of inclusive practice — from designing effective IEPs and applying ABA strategies in the classroom, to positive behavior support and differentiated instruction that honors each child’s unique learning profile.

One moment stood out.
Ms. Rana, a dedicated teacher, shared her struggle to support a student who consistently disengaged due to behavioral challenges. Despite her compassion, she felt lost and unsupported. During the training, she learned how to interpret his behavior, use positive reinforcement, and implement individualized strategies that encouraged participation. Weeks later, she proudly shared how that same student began raising his hand, smiling more, and feeling confident enough to join group work.

Changes like these rippled across the school.

Teachers grew more confident adapting lessons, implementing IEPs with purpose, and creating classrooms where every child felt seen, understood, and valued. Students who once sat alone or felt misunderstood were now connecting with peers, engaging in learning, and experiencing the joy of being included.

We didn’t stop at academics. Our work also focused on psychosocial well-being—helping teachers recognize signs of stress, respond with compassion, and build emotional resilience in their classrooms. The result was a school environment that was not only inclusive, but deeply nurturing.

Today, this school stands as a model of what true inclusion looks like—a place where diversity is celebrated, strengths are recognized, and every child is given the opportunity to succeed.

This transformation reflects the heart of ABA4Change:
Empowering educators with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to champion inclusion and build classrooms where every child’s potential is seen, supported, and realized.

A Journey in Inclusive Education

———–

When I first worked as Student Success Specialist, I encountered a group of students who had been labeled as “difficult” or even “unreachable.” These children had faced years of misunderstanding and frustration, feeling isolated from their peers and disheartened by the belief that they couldn’t succeed. But I knew that each of them had untapped potential waiting to be discovered.

The journey began by shifting perspectives and building a culture of respect, understanding, and high expectations. I collaborated with teachers to move beyond labels, helping them see each child’s unique strengths. Together, we implemented personalized learning plans and created an inclusive environment where every student felt safe, supported, and capable of learning.

One student, Layla, had often been labeled as “slow” due to her difficulty keeping up in class. She struggled to focus and often shut down when tasks became overwhelming. Through a combination of individual support, structured learning strategies, and positive reinforcement, we tailored a plan that suited her learning style. Over time, Layla began to shine, participating in class discussions, completing assignments independently, and even tutoring her peers in subjects where she excelled.

Parents and teachers started to notice a shift. These students, once overlooked, were now contributing to class activities and showing new confidence in their abilities. As their self-esteem grew, so did their willingness to engage, learn, and try again after setbacks. These “labeled” students had become active, proud members of the school community, proving that with the right support, any child can thrive.

This experience reinforces my commitment to inclusive education and my belief in every child’s ability to succeed. Together, we are not only reshaping students’ futures but changing mindsets about what’s possible when children are given the chance to be the best versions of themselves.
