Who is it for?
Who is the IBA 270-hour program for?
This program is designed for ABA practitioners, behavior modification specialists, psychology and special education professionals, and practitioners holding credentials such as the IBT or RBT who want to deepen their knowledge and prepare for the International Behavior Analyst (IBA) pathway. Please check the official eligibility requirements independently.
It suits you if you are:
- Working in ABA or behavior modification
- A psychology or special education professional
- An IBT or RBT holder looking for the next step
- Preparing for the international IBA credential
It may not suit you if:
- You expect to receive the IBA automatically on completing the program
- You don’t hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (an IBAO requirement)
- You need someone to provide your fieldwork placement — the program does not
What is the IBA?
The International Behavior Analyst – IBA is an international professional credential for behavior analysts, issued by the International Behavior Analysis Organization (IBAO). This program covers the educational part of the pathway; supervised practice, supervision, skills testing and the exam follow IBAO’s requirements (see requirements).

Follow-up & assessment
How we follow your progress
01
A live session every week
Q&A and case discussion every Wednesday 6:00–8:00 PM Istanbul time.
02
Practice test per module
A mock exam to help you review. It is practice, not the official exam.
03
Activities & applied projects
Short tasks for each module that turn concepts into practice.
04
Capstone project
Brings behavior assessment, intervention and ethics together in one case.
05
Individual feedback
On your performance and areas to develop in the final stage.
06
270-hour certificate
From ABA 4 Change, with a unique verifiable number, once attendance and assessments are met.
Your certificate
A 270-hour certificate anyone can verify, any time
When you complete the program and its assessments, you receive a 270-hour certificate of completion from ABA 4 Change in your name, with your completion date and a unique certificate number any employer or organisation can check directly on our website.

ABA 4 Change is listed in IBAO’s directory of Approved Content Providers (ACP) under IBA® providers.
The ABA 4 Change certificate of completion is not the IBA credential; IBAO issues the IBA once its requirements are met.

IBA requirements
What else does the IBA require after the program?
Based on IBAO’s published requirements (October 2026). Always check the official site, as requirements can change.
01
Degree and route
A bachelor’s degree or regional equivalent (two years of post-secondary education), then one of IBAO’s two routes: the Master’s/Graduate route, or the Experience route with two candidate projects.
02
After your studies
- 1,500 practice hours (600 implementing, 600 programming, 300 of either)
- 75 supervision hours (30 observing, 30 non-observing, 15 of either)
- Candidate Skills Testing
- Registering with IBAO and passing the IBA exam
The practice and supervision figures apply to candidates registering with IBAO from 1 October 2025.
Important: academic follow-up is not credential supervision
Your studies include case discussions, academic guidance and individual feedback. These are educational services within the 270 curriculum hours. They do not automatically count as qualifying IBA supervision hours. Professional supervision is a separate service that needs an agreement with a qualified supervisor, eligible fieldwork, and supervision hours documented to IBAO standards. The “Program + professional supervision” offer provides 75 supervision hours under a separate agreement.

FAQ
Your questions, answered
Can I study the whole program online?
Yes. The program is fully online: recorded lectures plus a weekly live session. The professional practice required for the credential must meet IBAO’s requirements separately.
Is the certificate of completion enough to get the IBA?
No. The ABA 4 Change certificate of completion is different from the international IBA credential, which IBAO issues once its practice, supervision and testing requirements are met.
How can an employer verify my certificate?
Every certificate has a unique number. The employer enters the number or your name on our verification page (aba4change.com/en/verify) and sees the record we hold: name, program, hours and issue date.
Show all questions (12 questions)
Is ABA 4 Change an IBAO-approved provider?
ABA 4 Change is listed in IBAO’s official directory of Approved Content Providers (ACP) under IBA® and IBT® providers — you can check IBAO’s public register. The IBA credential itself is issued by IBAO once its requirements are met.
What’s the difference between the two offers?
Same curriculum and dates. “Program + professional supervision” adds 75 supervision hours to IBAO requirements under a separate agreement, plus support documenting them. The program on its own includes no qualifying supervision hours.
When does the program start, and when is the live session?
It starts at the next date shown in the schedule (within one to two weeks). The live session is every Wednesday 6:00–8:00 PM Istanbul time (GMT+3); between sessions you watch the recorded lectures.
Can I go faster?
You can watch the recorded lectures at your own pace, as long as you complete the 270 learning hours and all required activities and assessments; experience does not shorten the minimum hours.
What qualification does the IBA require?
IBAO requires a bachelor’s degree or regional equivalent, then either the Master’s/Graduate route or the Experience route with two candidate projects. Check your eligibility on the official site before registering.
Does the program provide a fieldwork placement?
No. The 1,500 fieldwork hours take place at your workplace or training site under IBAO’s requirements. The supervision offer provides supervision during them, not the placement.
Are IBAO fees included?
No. Registration and exam fees are paid directly to IBAO under its policies at the time you apply.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Either offer can be paid in 4 equal payments: 25% at registration, then 25% a month for 3 months.
What is the refund policy?
A full refund is available within 24 hours of attending the first session if you find the program isn’t right for you, in line with our Refund Policy. Supervision hours already delivered are not refundable.
Start your path to the IBA
The next group starts within one to two weeks: recorded lectures and a live session every Wednesday, with or without professional supervision.
The IBA credential is issued by the International Behavior Analysis Organization (IBAO), not by ABA 4 Change. Attending or completing the course does not grant the credential automatically. Check IBAO’s eligibility, practice, supervision and exam requirements before registering and applying, as rules can change. ABA 4 Change fees do not include IBAO registration or exam fees.
